James E. Hawley, 93, of Beloit, died at 9:05 a.m. Monday, Oct. 22, 2007, at his residence. He is now resting in the presence of Jesus. He was born Aug. 26, 1914, in Ford Cliff, PA, to Richard A. and Lydia (Ruppert) Hawley. A 1935 graduate of Alliance High School, he was a retired machinist from Alliance Machine where hr had worked for 35 years. Mr. Hawley was a member of Pine Lake Christian Church where he was a Sunday school teacher. He was a past master of the McFadden Masonic Lodge 697 and a member of the Conrad Lodge 271, alliance Council 112 and Alliance Chapter 83. Surviving are two daughters, Norma Jean (Tom) Stoltz of Cuyahoga Falls and Joyce Ann (Eugene) Winters of Beloit; a stepdaughter, Betty Ann (Don) Raber of Alliance; a stepson Richard Mason of Spokane, WA; six grandchildren; six step grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Adon (David), in 1964; second wife, Winifred (Mason), in 1996 and stepdaughter Margaret Brush. Services will be at 1:00PM Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007, at Pine Lake Christian Church with Tom Palmer officiating. Burial will be in Alliance City Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-8PM Wednesday, Oct. 24th at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home in Sebring, with the family present from 6-8PM and one hour prior to the services at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Pine Lake Christian Church Garage Maintenance Fund.
