James Edward Myers

James Edward Myers, 90 of Sebring passed away at his home on Tuesday, July 7, 2015. James was born in Salineville, Ohio on April 5, 1925 the son of the late Joseph and Margaret (Wright) Myers; he was a member of First Baptist Church in Alliance, employed at Alliance Builder’s Supply for 40 years, he also served for 16 years as a Smith Township Trustee and a Police Sergeant for Smith Township for 10 years.
Survivors include his wife Bonnie Lynn (Welsh) whom he married on May 17, 1983 of Sebring, a son Daniel Myers of Florida, four daughters; Billie West of Arizona, Sandra Russell of Akron, Donna Maley and Julia Hunter both of Alliance, 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. He is also survived by six sisters; Margie Hazen, Shirley Fox, JoAnn Kapalko, Janet Lowes, Vera May and Edith Spears. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by 2 brothers Lloyd and Keith, 2 infant boys, a sister Lois Mazzie and a great grandson Elijah.
Family will receive friends at Gednetz-Ruzek funeral home in Sebring on Saturday, July 11, 2015 from 12 to 1PM with the service to follow at 1PM with Pastor Gordon Thomas officiating.
