Jane Olive Murphy, 92 of Stow and formerly of Sebring died Wednesday May 13, 2009 at Briarwood in Stow. Jane was born in French Creek, Pennsylvania on June 10, 1916 the daughter of the late Robert O. and Echo (McCormick) Billingsley. She was a member of the Sebring Methodist Church. She loved gardening and was a Judge for the Omaha Flower Association, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and PEO. Jane also graduated from Oklahoma University and worked at Wodin Inc. from January 1975 till December 1980. She is survived by her son, R. Grant (Lynn) Murphy of Northfield Center, a daughter Pam (John) Sergey of New Hope, PA a son Ben (Mari Ann) Murphy of Pueblo, CO, seven grandchildren; Sarah, Brian, Ben, Leah, Maia, Angela and Kristen, and a sister Jessie Godfrey of Texas. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Benton F. Murphy whom she married on March 28, 1942 and died on May 15, 2003 a sister Mary Echo Wheeler and a brother Mack Billingsley. Services will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home 126 West Vermont Avenue Sebring Ohio 44672. A time of Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 20th at her son Grants home from 6 to 8 PM at 7836 Brandywine Road, Northfield Center and also for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday.
