Janet Prendergast

Janet Elizabeth Prendergast, 91, of Gallatin, TN and formerly of Beloit, OH, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 28, 2024. She was born on October 5, 1933 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, a daughter of the late Allen and Clara Powers.

Janet married the love of her life, Ronald, on November 4, 1950, and together they raised 6 children in Twinsburg, Ohio. She was a devoted Christian and a woman of faith. Janet enjoyed music and poetry.

Survivors include her daughter, Darlene Coon; son-in-law, Paul Bittner who had been her caregiver; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband who passed away in 2016; her only sibling, Frank Powers; 3 daughters, Judy Thomas, Debra Bittner, and Cindy Prendergast; two sons, Jeffery and Wayne; son-in-law, Charles Coon; and two grandchildren, Andrew Coon and Christina Bittner.

There will be no public services. Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown Funeral Home in Sebring is assisting the family with arrangements. Janet will be laid to rest next to her husband and two of their children in Quaker Hill Cemetery, Sebring, Ohio.
