Jewell Bales

Jewell L. Bales, 84, of Alliance passed away at her home on Sunday, August 7, 2011. Jewell was born in Marshall, Missouri on July 12, 1927 the daughter of the late Elmer T. and Suzanne E. (French) Murphy; she was a member of the Alliance Latter Day Saints Congregation and enjoyed ceramics, crocheting and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include her husband of 64 years Elmer Bales of Alliance, two sons James Thomas Bales Sr. of Campo, CA, Terry Lee Bales of Arizona, 5 grandchildren; James T. Bales Jr., Jewell Ann Bales, Jason A. Bales, Buffie Bales, Laura Bales and many great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother Elmer Murphy Jr. of Marshall, MO. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, 2 sisters and a great grandson. A funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at the Alliance LDS Church at 5:00PM with Bishop Steven Wait officiating. A time of visitation will be held in the Church Relief Society Room the hour prior to the service. Burial will take place on Friday at 9:30AM at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
