Joan R. Harp, 74, of Sebring passed away on Monday, June 27, 2011 at Crandall Medical Center in Sebring. Joan was born in Salem on September 13, 1936, the daughter of the late Jack and Jean (Ware) Davis. Mrs. Harp was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Sebring; and retired from working at Copeland Oaks in the dietary department. Joan enjoyed spending time with her family and friends but especially liked taking care of her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband of 52 years J. Paul Harp whom she married on November 8, 1958, a son P. Scott (Katrina) Harp of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, a daughter Pamela Dixson of Sebring, a daughter Paula (Sam) Rohr of Louisville, a son Mark (Dawn) Harp of Lakeland, FL, and a daughter Penny (Scott) Latham of Sebring. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; Tiffany, Michael, Tyler, Weston, Andrew, Jacob, and Russell, two great grandchildren, Jaidee and Riley and a sister Carol (Chet) Stromsky of North Canton. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Ann Catholic Church in Sebring with Fr. Thomas Dyer officiating. Friends may call at Gednetz-Ruzek funeral home on Wednesday from 6-8 PM. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Beloit.
