Joan "Jenny" Lalu

Joan “Jenny” M. Lalu, 86, of Sebring passed away on Monday, June 11, 2012 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Home in North Canton. Joan was born in Alliance on November 21, 1925, the daughter of the late Angelo and Mary (Santoianni) Mazzei. She worked as a stamp maker at Royal China/French Saxon retiring after 20 years. Jenny was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, the Ladies Auxiliary VFW and the Dante Club. She was an excellent cook, everyone loved her pasta. The joys of her life were her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include her two sons George Lalu of Alliance, Jerry (Letty) Lalu of Virginia; a daughter Deborah Eyler of East Canton; 10 grandchildren Jennifer Lalu, Kevin Lalu, Kristen (Eric) Ellyson, Matthew (Tiana) Lalu, Andrea (John) Stubblefield, Natalie (Levi) Motts, Gina Eyler, Benjamin Eyler, Scott (Sarah) Close, Amie (Eric) Garcia and 8 great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband George J. Lalu who passed on March 23, 1986, a brother Peter Mazzei and a sister Nellie Bugara. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 15, 2012 at St. Ann Catholic Church with Fr. Matthew Mankowski officiating. Friends may call at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home from 9:30-10:30 AM on Friday. Burial will take place in Highland Memorial Park.
