Joan Mathews

Joan Christine Mathews, 61, of Canfield, passed away at 2:30 PM, Saturday December 8, 2007 at Altercare of Alliance. Joan was born on July 11, 1946 in Alliance to Frank M. Jr. & Marion (Woolf) Hamon. She was a graduate of Alliance High School class of 1964 and was employed as a Registration Secretary at Alliance Community Hospital ER. Joan loved doing crafts and traveling. She loved to listen to music and sing. In addition to her parents of Sebring, she is survived by her husband Gary H. Mathews; 2 sons; Richard Snyder of Alliance; Jeffrey (Mandi) Snyder of Canton, a daughter Amy Snyder of Irvine, CA, a stepson Nicholas Mathews of Canfield;1 brother Tim (Jill) Hamon of Alliance and 6 grandchildren . She was preceded in death by her sister Terry Snyder on Sept. 13 2005. Services will be held at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home on Thursday, December 13, 2007 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Mike Kimball officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park. Memorial contributions can be made in Joan’s memory to the American Cancer Society.
