Joann (Hetherington) Tillman

November 16, 1956 — December 14, 2022

Homeworth

Jo Ann Tillman (Hetherington) passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, after a short but devastating illness (ALS). She was born November 16, 1956 in Alliance, Ohio to Virginia and Kenneth Hetherington (Hoffer) who preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Sebring McKinley High School in 1975 with a small graduating class, for which she remained life-long friends with many. Jo Ann worked for the Gem Clay/Ferro Corporation in Sebring, Ohio. She excelled as a medical transcriptionist for the past 25 years which she truly loved.

She is survived by her husband Dave of 40 years, daughter Allison Marie Lepsesty, son Kurt Matthew (Jackie) Tillman, grandchildren Trevor and Carter Ludwig, and step granddaughter Lex Nieb. Jo Ann loved gardening, floral arrangements, Cleveland sports, traveling, and her past and present dogs and grand dogs, but her best quality was her heart of gold. She would do anything for anyone. She loved her two grandsons, Trevor and Carter, more than they loved her. Jo Ann will be missed dearly by her friends and family.

Please join us for a memorial and a celebration of Jo Ann's life at Bunker Hill United Methodist Church on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at 2PM. We will be serving finger foods and soft drinks. The church is located at 15096 W Middletown Rd., Beloit, Ohio.
