John âPaulâ Harp, 81 of Sebring passed away on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Hospital. He was born in Salem on March 5, 1931 to the late Joseph and Miriam Steiner Harp. Paul was a member of the U.S. Marine Corps and worked for A&P for 35 years and Copeland Oaks for 15 years. He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church where he was an altar server and he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Survivors include two sons Paul Scott (Katrina) Harp of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Mark (Dawn) Harp of Lakeland, FL; three daughters, Pamela Dixon of Sebring, Paula (Sam) Rohr of Louisville, Penny (Scott) Latham of Sebring, seven grandchildren Tiffany, Michael, Tyler, Weston, Andrew, Jacob and Russell; great grandchildren Jaidee and Riley; two brothers James (Betty) Harp of Salem, Tom (Marsha) Harp of Salem, a sister Irene Forney of Columbiana. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years Joan in June 2011 and a brother Joseph. A Funeral mass will be held on Saturday May 12, 2012 at 11:00 AM at St. Ann Catholic Church with Fr. Thomas Dyer officiating. Friends may call on Friday evening from 6-8 PM at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park with military honors provided.
