John Neil Vlaiku

John Neil Vlaiku, 92 of Beloit passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Alliance Community Hospital. John was born in Alliance, Ohio on December 28, 1923, the son of the late John & Mary (Evascu) Vlaiku. John graduated from Alliance High School was a US Marine Corps Veteran and worked as a tool and die maker. He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Roma Club, and the Alliance VFW. He loved bowling, golfing and gardening.
Survivors include his five children, John (Carole) Vlaiku of Columbiana, Michael (Linda) Vlaiku of North Jackson, Anita (David) Hicks of Chalmette, Louisiana, Timothy (Mary) Vlaiku of Alliance and Rick Vlaiku of Beloit. He is also survived by seven grandchildren Scott (Renee) Vlaiku, Bethany (Andrew) McCain, Brianna (Zach) Forney, Michael (Janet) Vlaiku, Tim (Nicole) Vlaiku, Pete (Rachel) Vlaiku and Lee R. Stowe; seventeen great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Besides his parents John was preceded in death by his wife Marie (Welsh) on December 30, 2008, two grandchildren Ann Gonzales and Robert Stowe.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday April 30, 2016 at Gednetz-Ruzek funeral home with Fr. Thomas Dyer officiating. Friends may call from 10:00-11:00 AM at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home.
