John Lee Weddle, 75 of Sebring passed away on Saturday October 10, 2015 at Salem Regional Medical Center. John was born in rural Washington County, Ohio on September 10, 1940 the son of the late John Dayle and Lea Surada (Murphy) Weddle.

John served in the United States Army in the Vietnam War, was a member of the Beloit Fire Department and attended Beloit Friends Church. He was a mechanic employed at Sweet Meadow Farms, The Ohio Department of Transportation, The Village of Beloit and Earth Tec at the Beloit Sewer Plant. He enjoyed baseball and the Cleveland Indians, but most all spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include two daughters, Joanne Weddle (Dennis) Eash of Alliance, Tara Barnett (Shawn) Kirby of Canton; son, David Barnett of Beloit; five grandchildren, Hailey and Lindsey Barnett, Aaron Michael Light, Brandon Light, and Devin Kirby, and one great grandson Sag Nix. John is also survived by his longtime companion Nadine Downie, a brother Sam Weddle of Beloit and sisters Mary Ellen (Tom Wright) Willard of Salem and Betty Weddle of Boardman. Besides his parents, John was preceded in death by a niece Lora Lee Willard and brothers-in-law Edward M. Papciak and Russell Willard.

A Funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15,2015 at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home at 11:00 AM with Pastor Kenneth Phillips officiating. Friends may call the hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio on October 19, 2015 at 9:30 AM.
