Joseph Ray Degroff

Joseph Ray DeGroff, 70, of Alliance passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Altercare of Alliance. Joseph was born on May 24, 1951 to the late Gordon M. and Lorena Mae (McEldowny) DeGroff. Joe was Baptist by faith and was a 1970 graduate of Marlington High School and retired from Alliance City Schools after 29 years of service. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and football; however most important to him was spending time with his family.

Joseph is survived by his wife Debbie (Tedrow) DeGroff who he married October 25, 1980; two daughters Melissa DeGroff of Dallas, TX. and Haley DeGroff of Alliance; a brother Frank (Mitzi) DeGroff; a sister Cynthia (Alan) Yama, sister-in-laws Kimberly (Larry) Durenda, Mary Tedrow, brother-in-laws John Tedrow, Robert (Cathy) Tedrow and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents Joseph was preceded in death by two brothers Michael and William DeGroff.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday,Feb. 12, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown Funeral Home in Sebring, Ohio with Pastor Ross Riggs officiating. Family and friends will be received the hour prior to the service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
