Joyce Baker

"Together Again" Joyce Baker, 77, of Sebring passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Community Care Center in Alliance. Joyce was born in Akron, Ohio on January 11, 1935 the daughter of the late Stephen and Evelyn (Downs) Drape; she was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Sebring and had worked at the Genie Company. Mrs. Baker enjoyed playing pinochle and bingo, but especially loved being with her family and friends. Survivors include her three daughters; Sherry (Lou) Barresi of Phoenix, AZ, Dottie (Mark) Baia of Sebring, Michelle (Dexter) Sams of Alliance, eleven grandchildren; Jamie, Tiffany, Kaitlyn, Mark, Keri, Mike, Ashley, Nicholas, Christopher, Jacob and Briana, three great grandchildren; Corey, Collin and Chloe and a sister Betty Johnson of Sebring. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Sr. a daughter Brenda, Son Robert Jr. and a brother Stephen “Sonny” Drape. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 10:00AM at St. Ann Catholic Church in Sebring with Fr. Matthew Mankowski officiating. Friends may call at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home on Friday from 4-6PM. Memorial contributions can be made in Joyce’s honor to the Alliance Visiting Nurse Association/Hospice, Sawburg Road, Alliance, OH 44601. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park.
