Juanita âGabbyâ S. Perkins 81, of Beloit and formerly of Daytona Beach passed away at Alliance Hospital on Tuesday, September 27, 2011. Juanita was born in Wellsville, Ohio on September 12, 1930 the daughter of the late Howard and Hazel (Geddis) Lucas, she was a graduate of Wellsville High School; worked as a nurseâs aide at Alliance Community Hospital and was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Sebring. Gabby loved bingo, and was a card carrying member of the Outlaws Daytona Motorcycle Club; she also worked the infield at the Daytona 500 race with the Sheriffs Dept. and was a greeter for Dennyâs Restaurant in Daytona Beach. Survivors include her three sons; Jeff (Christine) Guildoo of North Benton, Jack Perkins, James Perkins of Kent, 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and a brother Richard Lucas of Beaver Falls, PA. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Jack R. Perkins, a sister Iwella Hanley and a granddaughter Heidi Guildoo. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 30, 2011 at 1PM at Gednetz-Ruzek funeral home in Sebring with Fr. Matthew Mankowski officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday the hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park. Arrangements are pending at Gednetz-Ruzek funeral home in Sebring.
