Karen Sanders

Karen Lynn Sanders 58, of Sebring and formerly of Salem, passed away at Crandall Medical Center I at 6:30 AM on Tuesday, May 27, 2008. She was born in Salem, Ohio on September 19, 1949, the son of the late Alexander Logan Lease Sr. and Dorothy Minerva (Forney) Lease. Karen volunteered with the American Red Cross and enjoyed spending time with her family and crocheting and needlepoint. Mrs. Sanders is survived by her son David Sanders of Zanesville, OH an Aunt Thelma Geiss, a sister Patricia Mae (Larry) Schweikert of Ellwood City, PA a brother Gerald Lee (Patricia) Lease of Salem, a sister-in-law Carol Lease of New Castle, PA and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years William “Ted” Sanders just three days before her on Saturday, May 24, 2008, two infant children, two brothers; Alexander L. Lease Jr., Charles Albert Lease and a sister Claudia Sue Russell. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2008 for both William “Ted” and Karen at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home at 2:00 PM. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are by Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home.
