Kathleen "Kathy" Hines

Kathleen “Kathy” Lynn Hines, 54, of Salem passed away at her home on Monday, January 17, 2011. Kathy was born in Cincinnati on January 16, 1957 the daughter of the late Nevil and Barbara (Vreeland) Shanahan. Mrs. Hines was a graduate of Anderson High School, received her BS from Miami University in 1979 and her Masters from the University of Dayton in 1983; she worked as an elementary school teacher for 6 years and as an Admissions Counselor for Edison State College for 4 years. Survivors include her husband Mark E. Hines of Salem whom she married in 1981, their son Brent M. Hines of Salem and a sister Ann Shanahan of Florida. The family will receive friends at the Brown Funeral Home in Salem on Thursday, January 20th from 6-8 PM. Friends may send condolences and sign the guest register online at www.brownfhonline.com.
