Kathryn Goddard

Kathryn V. Goddard age 88, of Sebring passed away Saturday, October 4, 2008 at Crandall Medical Center surrounded by her family and the caring staff of Crandall. She was born in Sebring, Ohio on Oct. 07, 1919, the daughter of the late Robert W. and Edna M. (Edgel) Reed. Kathryn was a graduate of Sebring High School; Class of 1939, and a member of Pine Lake Christian Church. She was a dispatcher for 17 years for the Sebring Police Department retiring in 1979, a former FOP member, and a reporter for the Alliance Review, Youngstown Vindicator and Sebring Times, Mrs. Goddard is survived by her two sons; James D. (Bonnie) Goddard of Cerritos, CA and Richard E. (Sherrie) Goddard of Sebring; three sisters Betty Clair of Sebring, Helen Bream of Mesa, AZ and Edna Walker of Mason, Ohio; eight grandchildren Steven Goddard, Brian (Kim) Goddard, Matthew Goddard, Jimmy (Aubry) Goddard, Christa (Chris) Jarvis, Joseph M. Goddard, Lori Ann Aleman and one step granddaughter Stacy (David) Pitner; ten great grandchildren Ian, Justin and Jack Goddard, Joseph R Goddard, Julia and Jacob Jarvis, Sophia Goddard and Alexandria, Lauren and Madison Aleman , Luke James Goddard and daughter-in-law Joanna Goddard ` She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joseph H Goddard on Dec. 23, 1950 and a son Joseph R. Goddard on Jan. 12, 2001. Services will be at 1:00 PM, Tuesday October 7, 2008 at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home in Sebring. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery, Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM with the family present from 6 to 8.
