Kathryn "Kay" Haberland

Kathryn “Kay” Haberland, 89 of Sebring passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at her home. Kay was born in Carrollton, Ohio on March 12, 1922 the daughter of the late Harry and Laura (Nelson) Kirby; she was an LPN and retired from Roselawn Terrace in Alliance. Kay was a former member of the Pine Lake Christian Church and the Loyal Berean Sunday School Class; she was a member of the Sebring VFW, and a Lifetime member of the Alliance Elks. Mrs. Haberland loved to read, travel and go camping with her family. Survivors include her daughter, Nancy (David) Hershey of Leetonia, a son Michael E. (Beverly) Haberland of Alliance a son David (Tammy) Haberland of Homeworth, and a daughter Judy (John) Sherwood of Sebring. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, a sister in law Dorothy Kirby of Alliance, a nephew and two great nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her Beloved Husband Eugene H. Haberland in 1974, a brother Charles W. Kirby and a sister Betty Wells. Services will be held on Tuesday, May, 3, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home with Pastor Don Nicely officiating. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Friends may send condolences and sign the guest register online at www.grfuneralhome.com.
