Kenneth Richard Gillam, 68, of Salem was pronounced dead at his home on Oct. 1st, 2009. Ken was born on November 3, 1940 he was the son of the late George and Ann Gillam of Salem. He served as a medic in the US Army during Vietnam from 1962-65; afterwards he was a medic at St. Elizabeths Hospital for several years. He later worked at Mullens Fabrication, American Standard. He then worked at Country Home Collection in Lordstown for 14 years where he retired from in 2002. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, George and a sister Ann. He is survived by a son, James in Streetsboro, a daughter, Kimberly in Arizona, and 4 grandchildren; Cody, Victoria, Heather, and Kryston. He is also survived by a sister, Shirley in Berlin Center, and two nephews; Ralph and Roy. Upon his wishes there will be no memorial services.
