Kenneth B. McGrath, 67, of Canton, passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2009 at Altercare of Alliance. Kenneth was born in Sutton Township, Meigs County, Ohio on October 20, 1942 the son of Fisher and Edith (Postal) McGrath. Mr. McGrath graduated from Sebring McKinley High School Class of 1960, he worked as a foreman at the Hoover Company in Canton, he was a member of Yesterdays Classics (car club) in Canton, the Canton McKinley Gun Club, and a former member of the Knox Township Sportsman’s club. Survivors include his father and step mother Fisher (Margie Mikes) McGrath of Alliance, a daughter, Christina (Randy) Akins of Homeworth, a grandson Christopher Akins of Homeworth, a sister Helen (Bruce) Tennis of Alliance and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Edith and his wife Shirley on September 12, 2003. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 30, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Kimball officiating. Friends may call on Monday the hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in Highland Memorial park. Arrangements are by Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home. Friends may send condolences and sign the guest register online at www.grfuneralhome.com.
