Kenneth Steele

Kenneth D. Steele, 72 of Columbiana, OH, formerly of Beloit, Oh died Thursday June 26, 2008 at Alliance Community Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born on February 7, 1936 in Sebring, OH to the late Clement and Corma(Close) Steele. He graduated from Sebring McKinley High School in 1954. He retired in 1999 from the Bliss Company in Salem, where he was a machinist for 35 years. He was a Beloit Volunteer Fireman for several years. He was an avid Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns, and Ohio State Buckeye and NASCAR fan. He was also a West Branch Warrior fan and loved to go fishing. He attended Westville Community Bible Church. He is survived by his wife of 14 years the former Amy S. Schmid whom he married on December 28, 1993. He is also survived by his 3 children, Deborah (Mark) Nezbeth of Beloit, David (Leslie) Steele of Deerfield and Deana (Larry) Rudy of Salem and 7 grandchildren; Ryan (Audra), Brandon and Aaron Nezbeth of Beloit; Zachary and Shannan Steele of Deerfield; Alex and Makenna Rudy of Salem; 4 sisters Darlene (Galen) Culler, Twila (Richard) Gednetz, Maxine (Charles) Cain, Karen (Dave) Miller all of Beloit and Elaine Hilliard of Ravenna; 3 brothers, Leroy (Jackie) Steele of Brookfield;Clement (Donna) Steele and Jack (Vickie) Steele both of Beloit and several nieces and nephews. Beside his parents he was also preceded in death by his first wife Delores (Doyle) Steele on Nov. 4, 1992 and a great-grandson. A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 PM, Sunday June 29, 2008 at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home, Sebring Oh, with the Rev. Rod Doran officiating. Friends may call on Sunday from 3 to 7 pm with the family present from 5 to 7 pm, Arrangements are by Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home.
