âKennyâ Hetherington, 83 formerly of Sebring, passed away on Friday, April 30, 2010 at Bel-Air Care Center in Alliance. Kenny was born in Sebring on August 10, 1926 the son of the late Harold M. and Blanche F. (Wright) Hetherington. Mr. Hetherington was a past member of the Sebring Church of Christ and retired as a custodian from the Sebring Local School district; he was a Cleveland Indians and Sebring Trojans fan, but he especially liked to watch his grandson and great grandsons play sports. Survivors include his daughter, Jo Ann (David) Tillman of Homeworth, two grandchildren, Allison (Jason) Ludwig of Beloit, Kurt (Vera) Tillman of Sebring and two great grandchildren; Trevor and Carter Ludwig of Beloit. He is also survived by a brother Dean Hetherington of Sebring and a sister Gilda L. Freshly of Mesa, Arizona. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Virginia Hetherington whom he married on January 11, 1952 and preceded him on August 9, 2007, a brother Harold E. Hetherington and a sister Jean Cameron. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Alliance Visiting Nurses and Bel-Air Care Center for taking such good care of Kenny. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home with Pastor Gerald Baker Officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday the hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park.
