Kristi Grubb

Kristi Lyn Grubb, 37, of Alliance passed away on Friday, January 30, 2015, at the Cleveland Clinic. Kristi was born in Alliance, on July 11, 1977, the daughter of Stephen J. Albert and Patricia (Holibaugh) Downs. Kristi was a graduate of Marlington High School worked at Giant Eagle as a cashier and then moved through various departments in the five years she worked there. In four out of the five years, she was awarded the greatest participation award in the store's charitable fund raising. She was a member of the Mountain of the Lord Foursquare Gospel Church and previously attended Louisville Baptist Temple. Kristi had a passion for helping others and enjoyed volunteering at Alliance Community Hospital. She also enjoyed wrestling, track and baseball where she took stats and participating in school activities. But most of all she loved family and friends.
Survivors include her parents, Stephen (Becky) Albert of Canton, and Patricia (Mike) Downs of Damascus, her husband of 18 years, David "Troy" Grubb whom she married on February 1, 1997; two sons, Tyler N. and Shawn M. and a daughter Gracie L., all of the home. She is also survived by a brother Edward P. (Angela) Albert of Alliance, and three sisters Stephanie A. (John) Derry of Damascus, Elisabeth M. Albert of Canton, and Rebekah R. Albert of Damascus.
A celebration of life will be held at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home on February 5, 2015 at 4:30 PM officiated by Pastor Nick Lindsay. Friends may call from 3-4:30PM prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kristi Grubb benevolent fund at Key Bank in Alliance. Arrangements are by Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home.
