Lavinia I. Welling, 86, of Sebring and formerly of Beloit, passed away at Crandall Medical Center on Monday, April 12, 2010. Lavinia was born in Aleppo, PA the daughter of the late Melvin and Emma Ethel (Waters) Riggs. Mrs. Welling worked at the former Royal China Company as a Ware Dresser for 16 years; she was a member of the Sebring Church of the Nazarene and the Salem VFW Auxiliary. Survivors include her daughters; Diana (David) Hoy of Beloit, Brenda (Art) Uyselt of Beloit, Kay (Gene) Wade of Bradenton, FL, Carol (Bob) Zeitler of Akron and a son Larry (Kathy) Welling of Sebring. She is also survived by a sister Fran (Ron) Mellott of East Liverpool, 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 5 step great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles M. Welling in 2004 a great grandson Landen French, 4 sisters and 4 brothers. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 15, 2010 at 12PM at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Kimball officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 6-8 Pm and the hour prior to the service on Friday. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park.
