Lavonne Payton

LaVonne D. Payton, 62, of Alliance passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at her home. She was born in Hillsboro, Wisconsin the daughter of the late Elgin and LaVerna (Beyers) Fish. Mrs. Payton was a licensed LPN for over 35 years and received her Bachelors degree in Sacred Music. She was a member of the Alliance First Church of God and enjoyed singing and traveling but especially enjoyed her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband William H. Payton whom she married in December of 1982, a son Dana (Amy) Payton, a daughter Rose (John) Wilson both of Alliance, a daughter Nancy (Keith) Swope of Louisville. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 1 brother and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 1 brother. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 30th at the Alliance First Church of God on Lincoln Ave at 11:00 AM with Pastor Larry Murphy officiating. Friends may call at the church on Monday evening from 6-8 PM. Burial will take place at Alliance City Cemetery.
