L. B. Fletcher, 86, of Louisville and formerly of Beloit passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2011 at Green Meadows Care Center in Louisville. LB was born in Pearl, Kentucky on December 7, 1924 the son of the late John L. and Mary (Fuson) Fletcher. LB retired from the Sprint Telephone Company; he was a member of the Beloit Friends Church and was a WWII Army Veteran. Survivors include his wife Mattie (Lay) Fletcher of Louisville, a son Larry (Theresa) Fletcher of Alliance, a daughter Anna Ruth (Leonard) Mapes of Alliance, a daughter Carol (Tim) Lowe of Williamsburg, KY, 3 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He is also survived by three sisters; Cassie Sams of Orange, CA, Anna Mae Turner of Louisville, KY and Clarice Day of Cadiz, KY. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one sister and one brother. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 3, 2011 at the Beloit Friends Church at 11:30AM with Pastor Mark Reich officiating. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 10 to 11:30 AM. Burial will take place in Highland Memorial Park.
