Lena May Stallman Ewing, 88, of Sebring, passed away on August 23, 2013 at Crandall Medical Center. Lena was born on January 17, 1925 in Alliance, the daughter of the late Fred and Bertha (Heacock) Haenny. A lifelong area resident, she graduated from Youngstown State College with a degree in dietary and worked as a dietician at Manor Care in Canton. Lena was a member of Pine Lake Christian Church, Sebring Garden Club, and enjoyed crafting, cooking and gardening. Survivors include her three sons Cy (Mary) Stallman of Alliance, Mark (Debby) Stallman of Rockvale, TN, Gerald (Karlene) Ewing of Beloit, eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and a sister Ruth Ann Haenny of Cottonwood, AZ. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Henry Stallman in 1956, her second husband Richard Ewing in 1972 and an infant daughter Marcy. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home, officiated by Tom Palmer. Friends may call the hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
