Lena Sutcliffe

Lena Eunice (Moore) Sutcliffe, 87 of Deerfield, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at Kingston of Vermilion. Lena lived most of her life in Deerfield and moved to Lorain in 2006 to live with her daughter. Lena was born on November 7, 1923 in Alliance, Ohio the daughter of the late Loretta (Leasure) Moore and Charles Moore; she attended the Deerfield Methodist Church, she was a member of Palmy Chapter 114 OES and was very involved in the Deerfield Sirenettes. Survivors include a son Daniel (Brenda) of Belmont North Carolina; daughters Alice Carter of Lorain, Ruthann Hovis of Youngstown, and Kathy Epling of Akron ; grandchildren Chad Epling of Los Angeles California, Arlene (Chaz)) Heffley of Lorain, Teri Epling of Akron and Andrew Butz of Youngstown, Brian (Susan) Reinhardt of Lorain; Great granddaughters Madalyn of Akron, Michelle of Belmont, North Carolina, Madison, Aubrey , Samantha, Rachel and Amanda of Lorain; great grandson Lukas of Lorain. Besides her parents she was proceeded in death by her sisters, Emma, Margaret and Anna, brothers Leonard, Howard and Clarence, a daughter Mary Ann in 1947, and her husband Raymond Elgin Sutcliffe whom she married March 7, 1942 and preceded her in 1987. A Graveside Service will be held on, Friday, August 12, 2011 at Deerfield Cemetery at 2:00PM. Friends may send condolences and sign the guest register online at www.grfuneralhome.com.
