Leona Melott

Leona Rose Melott, 50, of Rittman, formerly of Salineville, passed away on May 27, 2013 at Summa Barberton Hospital. Leona was born on May 13, 1963 in Alliance, the daughter of Robert A. and Roselin J (Bettis) Francis. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, scrapbooking, hunting, canning, taking care of her dogs, “her babies”, her absolute favorite holiday Christmas, and especially spending time with her family. Survivors include her mother Roselin of Alliance, three sons, Dougie (Emily) Hill of Rittman, Brandon (Kayla) Hill of Rittman, Eddie Hill of Lemon Grove, CA; three daughters, Amanda (Ronald) McCourt of Dalton, Alisha (Johnny) Dalesandro of Rittman, Tiffany Melott (Trent McDevitt) of East Palestine; three brothers, David (Maria) Francis of Lemon Grove, CA, Bill (Pam) Francis of Newton Falls, Jim (Bonnie) Francis of Alliance; twelve grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, a daughter Jennifer and a brother Robert Jr. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday June 7, 2013 at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home. Friends may call from 7-9 PM on Thursday June 6, 2013 and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Highland Memorial Park.
