Lesley “Jeanne” J. Smith, 42 of Beloit passed away at her home on Monday, October 24, 2011 following a year long battle with cancer. Jeanne was born in Alliance at Alliance Community Hospital on April 8, 1969 the daughter of Leslie A. and Priscilla (Nelson) Smith Sr.; she was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sebring and a graduate of Leonard Kirtz in Austintown where she was Prom Queen her senior year. After graduation she went to work at Meshel Masco Sheltered Workshop until she became ill. Survivors include her parents Leslie and Priscilla of Beloit, a sister Jackie (Tim) Shilling of Grand Island, NY, 6 brothers; Bob (Terri) Hudson of Canal Fulton, Tony Hudson of the home, Greg (Norit) Hudson of Medina, Richard Hudson of Massillon, David Smith (Laura Lones) of Massillon, Leslie (Laura) Smith Jr. of Alliance. She is also survived by 15 nieces and nephews, 7 great nieces and nephews and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by both her paternal and maternal grandparents and a nephew Ryan P. Hudson. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 28, 2011 at 11:00AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sebring with Pastor James Case officiating. Friends may call at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home in Sebring from 6-8PM on Thursday, October 27th. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Beloit. Memorial contributions can be made in Jeanne’s honor to Trinity Lutheran Church in Sebring or Head and Neck Reconstruction and Surgery Research c/o University Hospital Seidman Cancer Center 11100 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland,OH 44106 . Friends may send condolences and sign the guest register online at www.grfuneralhome.com. A very special little lady with a heart of Gold, who called everyone she met a “Friend”, she leaves many memories to cherish in our hearts forever she will be missed and loved by all.
