Lois C. (Beck) Greenamyer

February 11, 1927 — November 21, 2019

Lois Camielle (Beck) Greenamyer, age 92 went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at Crandall Medical Center in Sebring, Ohio with her family by her side. Born February 11, 1927 in Salem, Ohio she was the daughter of Lorin A. Beck and Hilda D. (Greeneisen) Beck. Growing up just outside Salem, Lois attended Goshen Elementary School. At that time it was a one room school house. Lois also graduated from Goshen Union High School in 1945. Lois went on to attend Mount Union College where she studied Music Education. It was at this time she met the love of her life, her husband, Ray Greenamyer.

Lois LOVED music! Throughout school, she sang at weddings and other social events. Lois and Ray were married on June 15, 1947. She became an active member of the Damascus United Methodist Church. Lois sang in the church choir, taught and played music for Sunday School, sang with her friends in a church trio. Lois and Ray raised four children, 2 grandchildren and farmed two farms with over 160 acres and 70 dairy cows. Lois became a homemaker and a true farm wife learning to drive tractor, bale hay and even milking cows. Lois was also a member of the Chatterbox Club, Damascus United Methodist Church Choir, Damascus Women's Society, Damascus Magazine Club and Damascus Garden Club. Lois loved to travel and she loved to read. What she loved most were her friends, family, family visits and family gatherings.

Proceeding Lois in death were her parents, a brother Robert O. Beck of Nebraska, her husband of 70 years, Ray L. Greenamyer, a daughter Sheila R. Campbell and a grandson George A. Campbell. She is survived by a son Steven (Barb) Greenamyer of Arizona, daughters Jane (George) Langties (Tim Marano)of Salem, Joan Beardsley of Salem, Shirleen (Mark) Hughes of Sebring, 9 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren with one on the way.

Lois' family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all the special nurses and staff at Copeland Oaks, Crandall Medical Center and the Alliance Hospice for the great care they have given Lois during the recent years.

Services will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at 12:00 PM at Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown funeral home in Sebring with Pastor Matt Wilson officiating. Friends may call two hours prior to the service at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Burial will take place in Damascus Cemetery, Valley Road, Damascus, Ohio. Memorial contributions can be made in Lois' honor to Aultman Alliance Hospice, 2461 West State Street, Alliance, Ohio 44601.
