Lois O'Donnell

Lois Jane (Fryfogle) O’Donnell, 88, of Midland, Mich., passed away Tues., June 2, 2009, at her home with her family. She was born on Nov. 13, 1920, in Alliance to the late Russell Fryfogle and Trude (Hahn) Fryfogle. She married William J. O’Donnell of Sebring on Oct. 21, 1940; they were married for 53 years until his passing in 1993. Lois was a 1938 graduate of Sebring High School. In 1941, she moved with her family to Midland, where she spent 20 years as an employee of Michigan Bell Telephone. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and visiting with her family and friends. She is survived by her sister, Ruth (Joe) Rock of Hubbard; sister-in-law Nelda Fryfogle of Midland; two sons, Michael (Diane) O’Donnell of Midland and Patrick (Rosa) O’Donnell of Vienna, Va.; daughter-in-law Rita O’Donnell of Freeland, Mich., and her grandchildren, Robert O’Donnell, Lindy O’Donnell, Elizabeth O’Donnell and Miriam O’Donnell. She was predeceased by her eldest son, Kenneth O’Donnell, and her brother, Russell Fryfogle. Viewing hours for Lois will take place at 10 a.m. Friday at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home, 126 West Vermont in Sebring, and the funeral will begin one hour later.
