Louise Vail

Louise M. Vail Louise M. Vail, 85, of Salem, died Sunday, May 28 at Essex 3 in Salem. She was born Aug. 17, 1920 in San Francisco, CA to the late William and Louise (Heene) Sulzberger. Mrs. Vail moved to Salem in 1958 and was a Member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Salem. She was involved in the Retired Workers organization, The League of Women Voters and the Area Senior Citizen’s Group. Louise is survived by her two sons John Vail of Salem and Stanley (Janet) Vail of Beijing, China. Her husband John R. Vail whom she married in 1944 preceded her in death May 21, 1979. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Paul Catholic Church on Thursday, June 1st at 1:00 p.m. with Fr. Thomas Eiswerth officiating. Burial will be in Historic Hope Cemetery. Friends may call at Brown Funeral Home in Salem on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. with evening prayer service at 7:45 p.m. and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
