Margaret E. (Ward) Oswalt, 91 of North Benton died at Salem Community Hospital on Tuesday, September 10, 2013. Mrs. Oswalt was born in Bellaire, Ohio on December 2, 1921 the daughter of the late Cyril and Dorothy (Manley) Ward. She was a graduate if Sebring High School and was involved in many things including; a Life member of the Motor Maids of America, the American Motorcycle Association, a member of the Salem Flyers Motorcycle Club, the Sebring Cruisers Motorcycle Club, a Life member of the American Guild of Music serving as a member of the board for 6 years and Publicity Director for 2 years, she taught music since the age of 12 and was the Owner/Operator of Peggy Oswalt School of Music where her students competed in many International Competitions as well as performing herself on radio, TV and numerous local appearances. Survivors include her daughter Connie L. Allen of North Benton, two grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Harold Oswalt and a brother George Ward Sr. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 3PM at Gednetz-Ruzek funeral home with Pastor Jody Hill officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 1-3PM. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Beloit.
