Margaret M (Sosenko) Sanor of Homeworth passed away Friday afternoon just shy of her 96th birthday. She was born to Michael and Johanna Sosenko in Leetonia in 1929. After graduating from Leetonia High School in 1947, she worked for Crescent Machine Co. as a secretary before marrying Harold Sanor. She was married to Harold for over 70 years and during that time helped him run Maple Valley Farm. She was a milk maid on the farm and helped make maple syrup for 43 years. Her work ethic was like no other - she planted, cooked and cleaned in addition to helping raise not only children but her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her four children: Linda (Phil) McQuilkin of Homeworth, Steve (Teri Rice) Sanor of Hanoverton, Grant (Karen Kohler) Sanor of Homeworth and Laura Sanor of Shelbyville KY. She also leaves 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
The youngest of her siblings, she is preceded in death by all siblings (Steve, Jake, Nick, John, Andrew, Julia, Rose). She is also preceded in death by her husband Harold Sanor and her grandchild Bryan Sanor.
By her request, there will be no services. She will be buried at North Georgetown cemetery next to her husband. In lieu of gifts, please send donations to the Western Columbiana County Historical Society of Homeworth, Ohio. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home, Sebring Chapel, (330) 938-2526, www.grfuneralhome.com.
