Margaret Stevenson

February 27, 1937 — January 23, 2025

Margaret "Gail" Stevenson gave her final "Aloha" on January 23, 2025 at the age of 87. Gail was a free spirit who loved to entertain anyone she met with stories of her life in Hawaii.

Born in Molene, Illinois she was the third child of Margaret and Franklin Stevenson. She loved her country childhood growing up in Molene with her twin brother Gary, her sister Barabara, and all of her many Jamison cousins. As she grew older, married and had children: (Marc, Rob, and Steven) she began to acquire a love for travel and would end up traveling around the world by the end of her days. She found a place of her heart in the islands of Hawaii and would live there several times throughout her life. Always returning after leaving for a time, as the islands were the place she always felt the most free and herself. Gail was an animal lover and a great friend to all. She loved to make people smile and loved to dance.

Having many different professions throughout her life, she was a master at living life to the fullest; never settling for one place or profession if it was not the perfect fit. She was an inspiration to her family and everyone she met.

Gail was proceeded in death by her brother Gary Stevenson her parents: Margaret and Franklin Stevenson and her son Steven Lebowitz. She is survived by her children: Marc Lebowitz(Dawn) Robert Kellogg (Susan) and her daughter-in-law Michele. Her grandchildren, Megan, Gina (Harold Nichols), Aaron (Lesley), Stephen(Elizabeth Light), Marc(Randi), Mary Elizabeth, Nadia, Journey, Naomi, David, Sean, Lorelei, Joan, Travis, and Frances and her great grandchildren, Tristan, Isaiah, Katelynn, Madison, Jai'yr, Kelanie, and Lincoln.

A special thank you to the staff and residents of Daybreak Senior Center of Frederick,Maryland, and of Auburn Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Salem, Ohio you made the last few years of Gail's life happy and fun. So in the famous words of Gail, Aloha nui loa.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown Funeral Home, Sebring Chapel, 330-938-2526.
