Margaret A. Weingart, 73, of Salem, passed away Friday evening, at Salem Community Hospital. She was born August 25, 1932 in Norton, VA the daughter of the late William and Helen (Mitchell) Miskimins. Mrs. Weingart was a Member of the First Presbyterian Church in Salem. She worked at Metropolitan Insurance until 1956 and was the Deli Manager at the Salem IGA along with being a full-time Mother and Homemaker. Margaret was also a 4-H advisor and enjoyed sewing, needlework and was an avid sports enthusiast. She is survived by her two sons; Rick (Donna) Weingart of New Concord, Ohio, Randy (Kim) Weingart of Hiram, Ohio two daughters Lorrie Weingart of Salem and Jane (Shawn) Johnson of New Albany, Ohio she is also survived by her sister Mary (Richard) Bryan, of Salem and nine grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Neil Weingart whom she married May 23, 1953 and died in 2003. Services will be held at Brown Funeral Home in Salem on Tuesday, March 28th at 11:00 a.m. with Ross Jackson officiating, friends may call Monday from Noon till 9:00 p.m. with the family present from 5-8 p.m. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery.
