Margie Dawson McGrath, 89 of Alliance passed away on September 1, 2013 at Altercare of Alliance, she was born in Paden City, West Virginia the daughter of the late Robert and Hanna Myrtle (Eddy) Mikes. Margie was a pottery worker most of her life and was a Life Member and Past President of Sebring, VFW Post 6730 Auxiliary. Survivors include her, three daughters, Pat (Archie) Williams of Berlin Center, Janet (Jimmy) Williams of Sebring, Betty Jo (Ron) Besso of Chesapeake, VA, 9 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by; her husbands; Fisher McGrath, Carl Dawson and Tom Holtsclaw, a son, Carl Dawson, five sisters and four brothers; Della, Iva, Alice, John, Elsie, Effie, Arza, Chandas and Ralph. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Mike Kimball officiating at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-8:00 PM and the hour prior the service on Thursday. Entombment will take place at Highland Memorial Park. Memorial contributions can be made in Margie’s honor to the Sebring VFW Auxiliary. Arrangements are by Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home.
