Marguerite Bowers

Marguerite M. Bowers, 93, of Alliance passed away on Monday, September 7, 2009 at Alliance Community Hospital. Marguerite was born in Walnut Creek, Ohio on October 27, 1915 the daughter of the late Carl and Eliza (Sommer) Beitler. Marguerite graduated in 1935 from Marlboro High School and retired as an assembler from Alliance Manufacturing in 1983. She enjoyed spending time in the outdoors especially gardening. Mrs. Bowers is survived by her three sons; Marlin Bowers of Wildwood, Florida, Gayle (Thelma) Bowers of Minerva, Lee (LaVetta) Bowers of Alliance, 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Ivan D. Bowers on April 14, 1977, a son Gary W. Bowers on January 8, 1997, two sisters and two brothers. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 11, 2009 with Rev. James Case officiating at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home at 11:00 AM. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, September 10th from 3-9 PM with the family present from 7-9 PM. Burial will be in Marlboro Cemetery.
