Marguerite (Sutcliffe)Borton Lawrence, age 87, formerly of Sebring, passed away Friday May 25, 2007 at her home in St. Paulâs Retirement Community, South Bend, Indiana. She was born in Sebring, Ohio on January 23, 1920, to the late Phebe Grace (Beggs) and George Sutcliffe. She lived 24 years in Sebring, Ohio, and then moved to the Toledo, Ohio area. In 1998 she moved to South Bend, Indiana. Marguerite devoted her life to her children, family, home and gardening. She was an active member of Busy Hands, crocheting many items for needy children and families. She will be sadly missed by her five surviving children Richard (Liz) Lawrence of New Mexico; Marjorie Lawrence (Dick) Moore of Washington state; Mary Borton (Cliff) Virden of Indiana; Edward (Ali) Lawrence of Colorado and Charles (Linda) Borton of Texas. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren who will remember and always enjoy their memories of her. A loved one from us is gone, A voice we love is stilled. A place is vacant in our hearts, Which never will be filled. She is preceded in death by two husbands Donald Borton and Gale Lawrence. In 1991 her son, Dan Borton, also died. Vermont Ave. Sebring, Ohio Funeral Services will be at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home on Friday June 1, 2007 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Mike Kimball officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery, Sebring, Ohio. The family would like to thank St. Paulâs Retirement Community in South Bend, IN for the understanding and wonderful care extended to Marguerite.
