Marjorie Lydia Allcorn, 90 of Alliance passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at Community Care Center in Alliance. Marjorie was born in Sebring on July 1, 1923 the daughter of the late John W. and Lydia (Daryman) Stephenson. She was a member of the Sebring United Methodist Church and worked as a clerk for May Company in San Diego California, she also worked as a welder and inspector at Taylor Craft Aviation. Marjorie was a member of the Alliance Genealogical Society and was an amateur genealogist that traced her family tree back to the early 1500s in England.
Survivors include her sons; Mitch Allcorn of San Diego, CA Melvin Allcorn Jr. of Alliance two grandchildren Nicole Allcorn and Daniel Allcorn three great grandchildren Kayla, Alaunis and Serenity and a great great grandchild Kingston Marley Kelley. She is also survived by her sister Romona Greenawalt of Sebring and a niece Carol Allcorn McCleod of Texas. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Melvin G. Allcorn Sr. in 2006 her twin brothers John and Charles and a sister Frances Stryffeler.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home at 11:00 AM. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6 to 8PM.
