Marjorie Hartman

Marjorie Eileen (Hieronimus) Hartman, 78 of North Georgetown joined her beloved husband John G. Hartman in Heaven to spend eternity with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, April 14, 2014 at Community Care Center in Alliance. Marjorie was born in Green County, Pennsylvania on October 12, 1935 the daughter of Harold and Alice (Gorby) Hieronimus. Mrs. Hartman served on the Columbiana County Board of Elections for over 20 years in North Georgetown. She worked at McCullough’s Store, Salem Sears, Jean Frock’s Store; Mehl’s Shoe Store in Alliance and helped her sister Sandy start a Sub Shop in Louisville.
Survivors include her three children; Cindy (Clinton) Conrad of Damascus, John R. Hartman of Minerva and David (Denise) Hartman of Alliance, her five grandchildren Angela (William) Ruess, Rosalyn and Heather Hartman, Phoenix and Nichole Kurpil; two great grandchildren Alexis Ruess and Cora Mae Kurpil. She is also survived by her sister Janice Hetrick of Columbiana. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband in 1991, a sister and brother in law Sandy (Larry) Blessing, a brother Carroll Hieronimus her grandparents; Broze and Flora Gorby, George and Mamie Hieronimus, many aunts, uncles and in-laws. Mrs. Hartman enjoyed leading opening services for the children, working with the puppets and writing plays at the First Bretheren Church for over 50 years in North Georgetown where she also taught Sunday school class, served on various boards in the church, and belonged to the Women’s Missionary Society. However she felt that teaching children about God was one of the most important things she could do.
A funeral service will take place at 1:00 PM on Friday, April 18, 2014 at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home in Sebring; with Pastor Larry Bradley officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, two hours prior to the service. Burial will take place in North Georgetown Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made in Marjorie’s honor to First Brethren Church in North Georgetown for the Mission Stations in Kentucky.
