Mark Emig

Mark Lewis Emig 59, of North Benton and formerly of Florida passed away at his brother’s home on Thursday, March 20, 2014. Born in Dover, Ohio on July 14, 1954 he was the son of the late Robert and Doreen (Schlemmer) Emig. Mark was a graduate of Canton McKinley High School and worked at Union Metal in Canton and MOTE Marine Laboratory in Sarasota, FL; he was a lifelong outdoorsman enjoying camping, hunting and fishing. A devoted brother he worked side by side helping to maintain their home, grounds and the family pets. Mark was a caring uncle and great uncle who was available to lend his support; play board games, do crafts and teach life lessons. Mark will be remembered as a good friend to everyone he met sharing his many stories. He will be sadly missed by his family and all that had the honor to know him.
Survivors include his brother Chris Emig of North Benton, two nieces Kristen (Adam) Emig Reynolds of North Benton, Alicia (Brian) Emig Walker of Magadore and two great nieces Addison and Ashlynn.
