Marlene R. Druschel of Sebring passed away suddenly on September 26th. She was the daughter of the late Kathryn E. Yeats and John Hundertmarck. She was born in Alliance, Ohio and graduated from Harvey High School in Painesville, Ohio. It was in Painesville, where she met and married her husband Russel in 1956. They were together 44 years until his passing in 2000. She is survived by two daughters; Dr. Gail Pavliga and Stormee Druschel. She has six grandchildren; Eva, Adam, Andrew, Tony, Katie, Steven and nine great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved.
Marlene worked as an Assistant Fashion Coordinator for 20 years at several malls in Northeast Ohio. After she retired, Marlene was very active in the community of Sebring. Her special interest was at The Concern. She volunteered many hours and served for many years as President of the Board of Directors. She served as a Deaconess at Sebring Presbyterian Church and was a life-long member of Eastern Star. She enjoyed many hobbies including Red Hats, modelling in style shows, travelling and spending time with family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her honor to The Concern in Sebring 125 West Ohio Avenue, Sebring, OH 44672 to help support the food bank and thrift shop.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 2, 2017 at Gednetz-Ruzek-Brown funeral home in Sebring at 12:00 PM with Rev. Marty Radcliff officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 PM till 4:00 PM and two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial and a graveside service will take place in Zelionople, PA on Monday at 3:00 PM. Friends may sign the guest register online at www.grfuneralhome.com.
