Mary Jane Allen, 94 of Sebring passed away at Crandall Medical Center on January 17, 2014. Mary Jane was born on March 11, 1919 in Beloit, Ohio the daughter of the late Joseph and Eva (Griffiths) Roberts. Mary Jane was a 1937 graduate of Sebring High School; worked as a decorator at Limoge China and was a sales representative for Avon for 43 years. She was a member of Sebring United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher, a choir member for 53 years, junior church teacher, former church board member and a member of WCTU.
Survivors include her son Leslie H. (Pauline) Allen Sr. of North Benton. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her seven sisters Viola Pherson, Goldie Wogan, Doris Craig, Thelma Pherson, Margaret Duplin, Roberta Bartchy, Geraldine Risden and two brothers Kenneth Roberts and Allen Roberts.
A funeral service will take place at 11:00AM on Friday January 24, 2014 at Sebring United Methodist Church. Friends may call the hour prior to the service on Friday at the Church with Rev. Norma Bates and Rev. David Parry officiating. Burial will take place in Highland Memorial Park. Memorial contributions can be made in Mary Jane’s honor to Sebring United Methodist Church 126 West Indiana Ave. Sebring, OH 44672.
