Mary Dailey

Mary (Branch) Dailey, 92, a resident of Copeland Oaks in Sebring, Ohio since September 1993, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Alliance Community Hospital. She formerly lived in North Canton, Ohio with her husband, the Rev. Charles Dailey, a retired United Methodist Minister. They had served a number of churches in the North East Ohio Conference and the East Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church, over a period of 41 years serving last at Winterville United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Asbury College, and also attended Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky, and the College of Steubenville, in Steubenville, Ohio, each for a period of time. She was an Elementary School Teacher for 21 years at Bantam Ridge Elementary, as well as being an active mother, pastor’s wife and church worker. Mary was born in India on February 24, 1921 at Clara Swain Hospital, U.P. India to Missionary parents, the Rev. M. Wells Branch and Mrs. May (Widney) Branch. She attended Woodstock School in Landour, Mussoorie in North India until she finished High School. Survivors include her five children and their families. John (Frances) Dailey of Abingdon, MD, Judith D. Murray of Las Vegas, NV, Helen D. Wiley of Columbus, OH, Stephen (Janet) Dailey of Millersburg, OH, and Theodore E. Dailey of Columbus, OH. Grandchildren are Micah Dailey of Abingdon, MD, Melanie (Kevin) Speed of Las Vegas, NV, Rachel (Robert) Green of Las Vegas, NV, Adam (Angel) Murray of Columbus, OH, Jesse (Allison) Dailey of Amherst, NY, Joshua (Jacquelyn) Dailey of Kalama, Washington, and eight Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers-in-law Daniel (Donna) Dailey of Circleville, OH, John (Barbara) Walter of Mansfield, OH, and a sister-in-law Alice (Robert) Coen of Westminster, MD and their families. Friends may call from 2-5 PM on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home. Burial will take place in North Lawn Cemetery in Canton, Ohio on Monday, April 15, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to The Life Care Fund Copeland Oaks, 800 South 15th Street, Sebring, OH 44672.
