Mary Maxine Sanderson

Mary Maxine Sanderson, 90 of Sebring and formerly of Winter Haven, Florida passed away on June 17, 2010 at Crandall Medical Center in Sebring. She was born on April 6, 1920 in Empire, Ohio the daughter of the late Frank and Blanche (Byers) Culp. Maxine was married to Melvin Charles Sanderson on October 30, 1941 and was able to celebrate 55 years of marriage. They had one son, Jay, who preceded them in death on July 30, 1966. Survivors include a foster daughter Helen Halverstadt (Smith) and nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and son she was preceded in death by a brother Albert Culp and a sister Lorraine Sutherin. Charles and Maxine were care-takers at the Sebring Interdenominational Holiness Camp for 42 years before moving to Winter Haven. They were members of the Winter Haven Nazarene Church and she was currently a member of the Sebring Church of the Nazarene. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at 1:00 PM at the Sebring Grandview Cemetery Chapel with Rev. Mike Kimball officiating, with burial to follow.
