Mary Ann (Lipp) Swiger
July 16, 1943 — June 18, 2015
Mary Swiger, 71, of Salem, went to her eternal reward on June 18, 2015, at her home with her family by her side. She was born on July 16, 1943, the daughter of the late Lorman and Evelyn Lipp. Mary married Ira Swiger on March 12, 1966, who preceded her in death on December 29, 2005.
Mary attended the Salem Bible Methodist Church, enjoyed baking and cooking for her family especially for holiday celebrations. She was an avid gardener, loved to go on vacation with her family, especially enjoying her trip to Tennessee and North Carolina. Most of all, Mary loved spending time with her five grandchildren.
Mary is survived by her five children Scott of Salem, Melissa (Rick) Stires of Zanesville, Amy (Larry) Gentile of Salem, Mike of Salem and Steve of Salem. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Christina, Kevan & Kyle Gentile, Nathan & Cody Stires and her cat Carmel. Besides her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband Ira Swiger and her brother Richard Lipp.
