Matilda "Tillie" Sims

Matilda “Tillie” G. Sims, age 89, of Sebring passed away Monday, Jan. 29, 2007 at Altercare of Alliance. She was born March 15, 1917 in Sebring to the late John and Gertrude Swan. Tillie was employed as a Nursing Assistant at Alliance Community Hospital retiring in 1979. She is survived by a son Gilbert O. (Ellen) Conway of Alliance, two daughters Velda Warner of Las Vegas, NV. and Carol (Jerry) McLeod of Sanger, TX, two sisters-in-law; Flora Simms of Sebring and Glenice Jackson of Medina, eight grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded by her husband Wendell P. Sims, Aug. 20, 1986, 4 sisters and 2 brothers. Services will be held at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home on Wednesday January 31, 2007 at 1:00 PM, with the Rev. Rod Doran officiating, friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
